With ve years of experience, surgeons at Mobile In rmary have performed more than 1,500 procedures using the da Vinci Surgical System. Mobile In rmary was the rst in the region to introduce robotic surgery. Surgeons use the robot to perform complex surgeries with added precision.The robot is available for patients with prostate, endometrial, cervical or kidney cancers, as well as those needing cardiovascular and general surgical procedures.

Through an af liation with the University of SouthAlabama Mitchell Cancer Institute, our patients have access to the most progressive cancer treatment in the region. Mitchell Cancer Institute is the only academic cancer research facility in the Gulf Coast area. Surgeons at Mobile In rmary have access to two daVinci surgical robots that allow for greater precision when performing procedures for gynecological, prostate and kidney oncology.

Thomas Hospital is recognized as a Blue Distinction Center for Knee and Hip Replacement.The national accreditation by Blue Cross and Blue Shield is based on certain selection criteria for demonstrating reliability in delivering knee and hip replace-ment services. Surgeons at Thomas Hospital perform more than 600 knee and hip surgeries a year.

The InQuickER process allows patients to register online for non-life-threatening emergency care and then wait in the comfort of their home until the scheduled appointment time.
